Matt Lueger is the Director of Sales at NorthWind Technical Services and manages all business development strategies. He oversees marketing, customer service and project sales teams. Matt also has a background in engineering and enjoys working with his teammates and customers to come up with innovative solutions to unique problems.

Kelly Allen, Membership Manager for BEMA had an opportunity to ask Mr. Lueger a few questions about himself and the organization.

Q: What would you like BEMA members to know about you or your company?

A: NorthWind was recently named a 2019 System Integrator of the Year award recipient. That award is ultimately a big kudos to the rest of our team and the hard work they’ve put in. I won’t go on and on, but I’m proud of them and you can read more about it at our website if you like.

Q: What do you love most about working in the baking industry?

A: Seeing the process industrialized! We work in a lot of different industries, but in the baking industry more than any other you have a direct example of taking a process we’ve all followed in our kitchens at home and refining that process to include industrial processing equipment and automation in order to produce large batches while being exact and consistent.

Q: What drew your company to join BEMA?

A: As we’ve worked with a lot of good companies in the baking industry over the years, we have been looking for a network of like-minded companies committed to advancing the industry. BEMA fills that void for us and as a bonus, a number of the companies we’ve been working with were already members!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A: Most of my time away from work is dedicated to spending time with my wife and 3 kids. As a family we enjoy camping in the summer and when time permits I enjoy playing a little golf. I’m also a committee member for the local boy scouts and serve on the local library board.
