On behalf of the BEMA team, our Chairman and Board of Directors, I want to provide an update regarding our upcoming BEMA Convention 2020 scheduled to take place June 23-27 in Key Biscayne, Florida.
After tracking the progress of virus-related activities in the United States and throughout the world, as well as taking into consideration recent recommendations by the United States Center for Disease Control regarding social distancing and non-essential travel, it is with great sadness that BEMA must cancel our onsite Convention in Florida. Keeping the health and safety of everyone involved at the forefront, we are confident this is the best path forward.
A key objective of Convention is the bringing together of producer and supplier leaders from the baking industry. The informative industry insight panels and unique networking opportunities are always a highlight. While we cannot physically be together in June to connect and to celebrate the industry, BEMA will be offering you many of the Convention program elements virtually.
Stay tuned and check this page for more information on the upcoming virtual program.
For those members that have already registered for Convention, keep an eye on your email for detailed information regarding refunds, reservations, and sponsorships. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out via email at info@bema.org.
Sincerely,
Kerwin
