Ella Bowers DESCRIBE YOUR NEW ROLE WITH BEMA

My new role is all about projects!  Currently, it’s focused on Convention projects and soon it will transition to projects for NEXUS, membership and IBIE.  I work with all of the BEMA team members and am collaborating with committees and learning more about associations.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR WHERE YOU WANT TO TAKE THIS ROLE?

Continuing to grow the level of my responsibility and project management within BEMA’s events is one important goal.  Another goal is to further develop my human resources knowledge within the manufacturing sector. During this next year I will be working towards my Master’s degree in Human Resource Development and am hoping to be exposed to industry best practices.

WHAT ABOUT THE INDUSTRY ARE YOU EXCITED TO LEARN?

I am excited to learn more about the baking industry on the international level.  At IBIE in 2022 I realized that BEMA and the baking industry really has a global reach, which isn’t something most of us are exposed to every day.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BAKED GOOD?

I’m a big fan of strawberry shortcake!  If I’m snacking, there’s likely a box of extra toasty Cheez-It’s nearby.
