Alexander Stodolski is the Marketing Research Analyst at Wire Belt Company of America.

Kelly Allen, Membership Manager for BEMA, had an opportunity to ask Alexander Stodolski a few questions about himself and the organization.

Q: Tell us about your company and the products/services you offer:

A: Wire Belt Company manufactures many styles of open-mesh, clean-in-place, stainless-steel conveyor belt. Our conveyor belts are used in a variety of applications including coating, breading, baking, frying, cooling, and more.

Q: What is something new or innovative your company has done recently?

A: Wire Belt Company recently built a new larger manufacturing facility in Bedford, New Hampshire USA that is about three times larger than our previous facility.

Along with the move, Wire Belt recently launched a new version of our Compact-Grid conveyor belt with a thicker wire diameter (.082 wire) and larger 15mm belt openings that give the belt 73% open area for increased flow-through properties that help in heating, cooling, and coating applications. Compact-Grid conveyor belt has many advantages that make it the belt of choice such as: quick & easy belt joining, exceptional product support, and positive drive for excellent belt tracking.

Q: What do you love most about the baking industry?

A: I love baked goods and the baking industry! I partially love artisanal bread with its unique charm and unparalleled flavors which holds a special place in my heart.

The time-honored craftsmanship that each piece holds makes every loaf unique. Second to the people, everyone I have met so far in the baking industry has been so welcoming. I have been so lucky to have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people at ASB and BEMA.

Q: How did you get started in the baking industry?

A: I recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire, and while there I worked at a local bank running the Paycheck Protection Program. Well in that position I was able to hear stories of members that needed the funding just to keep their employees with a job during the uncertain times.

During my interview with Wire Belt, I learned that they qualified and got accepted for a loan but opted to give it back. They did so to let others have the funding who needed it more. With my past experience, I knew that I wanted to work for a company with fantastic values.

Wire Belt’s been serving the baking industry for many years. As a 5th generation family-owned company, the Greer family started manufacturing confectionary and bakery equipment back in 1919. The Flat-Flex conveyor belt was created in 1926 to be used in chocolate coating machines, and from there Wire Belt Company of America has been manufacturing the highest quality of conveyor belt solutions ever since.

The Compact-Grid conveyor belt, Ladder-Track conveyor belt, and Versa-Link conveyor belt are all different wire mesh designs Wire Belt makes, and are all used in a variety of baking applications, including coating, frying, cooling, and more.

Q: What drew you and your company to join BEMA?

A: Wire Belt has been a member of BEMA for over 10 years. BEMA offers incredible amounts of education and information to members. BEMA also creates events and instances where members can meet, network, learn, discuss, and grow. Wire Belt has also been exhibiting at the International Baking Industry Exposition for many years and has always found the BEMA show to be well trafficked and beneficial to the company’s success in the baking industry.

I was drawn to the most recent BEMA convention in South Carolina to gain valuable industry knowledge, networking connections and to learn more about baking in general. I am so glad Wire Belt has supported my interest in learning and trying to better serve our customers.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A: Being from New Hampshire I enjoy many of the outdoor activities we offer in the state. You can typically find me in the white mountains either skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer.

One of my favorite hikes is to Zealand Hut, which has a beautiful waterfall next to it. When the weather isn’t too cooperative, I collect American and Canadian coins.

Q: Anything else you want our members to know about you or your company?

A: Wire Belt not only offers top-notch conveyor belts, but they also manufacture enhanced hygienic conveyors, including straight conveyors, spreader conveyors, and turn conveyors. Members should also know that Wire Belt offers maintenance training through technical service representatives, and hosts a plethora of videos on their YouTube channel that include How-To videos, Application videos, and Maintenance training videos.
